Information required to nominate a horse for sale

1. A copy of the horses original ASHS Registration Certificate providing all horse details
2. Vendor membership name and ASHS membership number
3. Vendor contact, trading and banking details
4. Sale horse remarks
5. Rider details
6. Payment method

Detailed Information

• Nominations must be completed via the online nomination system. If you are unable to nominate online, please contact us by phone or email.
• Ridden sale horses only.
• All sale horses must be registered with the Australian Stock Horse Society (ASHS). Please ensure registration is current, correct and horse is listed as competition eligible.
• Please ensure the registered ownership details of each horse is correct with the ASHS prior to nomination.
• Vendors must be current financial members of the ASHS with all membership details up to date (including contact details and signatures). Vendor membership number must be supplied when completing nomination. If your membership is not financial please contact ASHS to pay now.
• SIGNATURES on record with ASHS - please ensure your signature is current and up to date with ASHS Scone. The sale vendor must sign the vendor declaration and it match what is listed on the ASHS database. Nominations are not completed until vendor declarations have been approved by ASHS.
• A scanned copy of the Original ASH Certificate of Registration must be uploaded online when completing nomination (scan or take a photo of the original certificate & save on your computer/phone ready to upload when nominating.) Screenshot of the horses registration from the ASHS website is not accepted.
• Payment is required when nominating.

*Pending Registrations*

Pending registrations will only be accepted where the registration application has already been lodged with the ASHS before nomination.

To nominate with a pending registration:

• Upload a copy of the registration paperwork when completing your nomination.
• Provide proof that the DNA sample has been sent to the laboratory.
• Ensure your horse's registration is completed before nominations close.

If you have not yet commenced the registration process before nominations open, please contact the ASHS immediately to confirm there is sufficient time to complete the registration and DNA testing process.

Please note: Registration applications that have not been started prior to nomination are not considered pending registrations.

If your horse is intended for the Dalby Stock Horse Sale, notify the ASHS when lodging your registration so it can be prioritised where possible.

Reminder: All horses must now complete DNA testing before registration can be finalised. Please allow sufficient time for this process.

*Incomplete Ownership Transfers*

• Ownership transfers that have already been lodged with the ASHS may still be accepted.  The transfer documentation must be completed and submitted to the ASHS prior to lodging your sale nomination.

REMINDER: Nomination fees are strictly non-refundable. It is the vendor's responsibility to ensure all eligibility requirements, horse registrations, supporting documentation and the Vendor Declaration are completed by the required deadlines. Horses that do not meet these requirements may be ineligible for the sale, and nomination fees will not be refunded.
